Disney! Oct 14-17

 Disney delights!

We didn't spend our time in Disney blogging, but I didn't want to have the trip pass without notice, so here's our back-blog (is that a word?)

Sara and I had such a great time in Disney the year before, and the only things missing were Emma and Hannah, so we wanted to get another trip in before flying became an pregnancy issue.  What a great idea!  We all fit in one room and we stayed in the Disney Sports resorts.  Getting two car seats in our rental car was the ususal hassel but I'm pretty good at entertaining the kids while the new moms fight with straps and buckles and clips.  We upped our game this time and ordered food ahead of time to be picked up on our way to the hotel - Gosh we are SO smart.  Of course, we over ordered and again had more food then we could eat, but whatever...

Day 1 - after settling into the room, we boarded the bus to go to Disney Springs.

It was not snowing this time but it was still fun.  We didn't let Emma's lost phone interfere with the fun, but we were pretty mindful of how stressful a loss like that can be. Note to selves, don't put things on top of the big orange double stroller and expect them to stay there when we fold it up to  haul it onto the bus (and thank you again Sara for being in charge of getting that stroller folded and on/off the bus!).  The kids got their first ride in (the carousel) and someone tried to eat a token and it was the start of watching kids put every item they could into their mouths.  There was going to be NO clean hands this trip but we tried not to embrace the dirt.  We got back to the hotel lobby and asked if anyone found the phone and sure enough, Emma's trip was saved!  The phone was found and turned in and our fun got an uptick.

Day 2 Off to Epcot!

It was the International Food Festival while we were there and I highly recommend going during that event!  Every country, or nearly every one, had special food tasting going on and we ate our way around the world  What a treat! Oh, we also did some disney stuff, and saw a few characters, and Jacob fell in love with the princesses and Hannah had fun poking Jake to show him things or to just get a reaction and they continued putting hands on things like trash cans but we sure had fun!

The kids once again showed us that our idea of fun is not always their idea of fun. One of the rides we went on, after hitting all the other spots we had wanted to see, was a sit down ride through the place that shows you how disney grows food.  It took forever and the kids absolutely loved it.  Who knew!  And that they can entertain themselves in the most creative ways.  Even with an exit sign.

Sara showed her great skill at entertaining two kids by herself while Emma and I used the facilities a mile away.  When in doubt, feed ice cream.

 Day 2 - Magic Kingdom!
We thought having matching shirts would make it easier to find eachother in the crowds, but we will be careful next time to get REAL matching shirts, not shirts with the same design but different colors.  duh. We hit all the hot spots and were able to use the magic pass to it's fullest to see all the things we wanted.

We ended the trip sitting in a restaurant watching the fireworks and had a great view of everything except tinkerbell flying.  The next day we were off to the airport and back to reality, but we left knowing we had just been to the happiest place on earth!
